The ‘Crawford Combined’ teaching model for 2021: principles and experiences

Alison Cumming-Thom, Crawford School of Public Policy

In September 2020. a Crawford School Education Futures Working Group developed a model for teaching delivery in 2021. Based in both the constraints (restricted international movement, limited room fitouts and other technical constraints) and opportunities (increased domestic market, increase in skills) brought about by 2020, the approach looked to serve two cohorts equally well and continue to deliver and develop the best of Crawford education. In this short session we’ll look at the principles and practises of the Crawford Combined model, together with student and staff

speaker bio

Alison Cumming Thom is Manager, Teaching and Learning at the Crawford School – a great job, as she gets to work with an outstanding faculty and staff focused on creating a very special student experience. She loves analysing and reflecting on the elements of that experience, and working collaboratively to support it. She believes in faculty learning, communities, and the power of collectively developed principles in shaping practice. And the power of a good collaborative playlist in lifting our spirits!
