Speaker bio

Dr Adam Masters lectures in criminology for the Centre for Social Research and Methods at the Australian National University. As Convener of the Bachelor of Criminology, Adam convenes and teaches first year criminology theory, and later year courses on corruption and organised crime. In 2022, Dr Masters was Highly Commended in the CASS Awards for Teaching Excellence. He came to the ANU following a 24-year career with the Australian government, which included time at the Department of Defence, the Australian Taxation Office, and 18 years with the Australian Federal Police. Dr Masters’ research focuses on organised crime, corruption, sport integrity; political rhetoric; and the influence of culture on public-private partnerships.
