As we are about to start the semester a couple of important things to do on your Wattle site to keep things organized:
Course Summary – You should now have a CMS Course Summary on your site, if you do not please ensure that one is completed, approved and ready for linking. It is important that your course site only has one course summary (the CMS one) and no other course outline or summary to avoid confusion.
Assignments and Gradebook – If you have rolled over your course from last year check that any assessment has the new information (submission dates, etc.) the same goes for your gradebook check that all the grades are correct and the total is also correct.
Echo and Timetabling – If you are scheduled to teach in a physical space, you will have Echo recordings if your sessions are 1. listed as Lectures, Workshops or Seminars, 2. are labelled on-campus or dual delivery in timetable, and 3. are in Echo enabled spaces. Please check your Echo link to know if you have echo recordings or now. Otherwise, view this cheat sheet to give you a few ideas
If you have any questions regarding your Wattle site please do not hesitate to contact education.cass@anu.edu.au.
We all understand that it is difficult to change a course dramatically or add innovative ideas when the semester is upon us but there are things that can be done even at a late stage to enhance student engagement in your course if delivered online. Contact us for more tips!
